UniteGive — The Power of Giving Together
Trust & safety

Protected end-to-end. Every gift, every campaign.

This page is maintained by UniteGive to answer common safety and security questions about how we protect donors, organizers, and the funds you trust us with.

Secure payments

PCI-compliant payments processing. Card numbers never touch our servers.

Verified organizers

Identity (KYC) and bank verification required before any payout is released.

Manual review

New campaigns are reviewed by our team before going live to the public.

Donor guarantee

Eligible donors can request a refund when a campaign is found to be fraudulent.

Secure payments

All donations are processed on PCI Service Provider Level 1 infrastructure — the highest level of payment security certification. Card numbers never touch UniteGive servers. Every checkout uses HTTPS and PCI-compliant embedded checkout, with 3D Secure authentication on cards that require it. This is a description of platform capabilities, not an independent certification of UniteGive.

Organizer verification

Before any payout is released, organizers complete our payment partner's identity verification (KYC): legal name, date of birth, address, and a bank account in their name. Business campaigns require additional documentation. Funds are held until verification clears.

Donor protection

If you believe a campaign is fraudulent, misrepresented, or that funds are being misused, report it from the campaign page or email admin@unitegive.com. We investigate every report and may freeze payouts, refund donors, or remove the campaign. Card disputes are handled through your card issuer in addition to our internal process. See the Donor Guarantee for eligibility details.

Content guidelines

UniteGive prohibits campaigns that:
  • Fund illegal activity, weapons, or controlled substances
  • Promote hate, harassment, or violence against people or groups
  • Misrepresent the beneficiary or intended use of funds
  • Solicit funds for political campaigns or lobbying (regulated separately)
  • Offer goods, services, equity, or financial returns in exchange for donations

Our moderation team reviews flagged campaigns and may remove content without notice. Read the full Acceptable Use Policy.
